I am a free lance writer, now living in Victoria, having migrated from Southwestern Ontario. I have completed some writing contracts here already such as a commemorative history for BC Pharmacists, 2008 & have done some communication consulting for PRMedia. Recently I have been contributing articles for web sites, but am pleased to say that I have had articles published in the BC magazine, Senior Living. One is called "Swifter, Higher, Stronger" (May 2010), and two features, "Changing Gears", (March 2011) and "Adventures in Paradise" (May 2011).

The past two years we have travelled a fair amount too which has helped with my travel writing- Cuba, Costa Rica, England, Italy, Texas, Alaska, Florida, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia, our first time to Southeast Asia; and most recently to Australia.

In the meantime I work diligently at my golf game and have also completed my Level 1 Sommelier certificate.

I do have some some other published writing under my belt too. My writing resume includes:

  • national and local newspapers: the Globe & Mail, the Kitchener-Waterloo Record
  • magazines: Lakeland Boating, Senior Living
  • website features, such as Cambridge Now ,www.cambridgenow.com/npps/ , Brazzil
  • golf, wine & travel features on www.amaronegolf.com/
  • educational texts and curriculum, such as co-author of Exploring World Religions, "Aboriginal Spirituality" (OUP) which is an educational best seller, and Ancient Civilizatioins for Independent Curriculum of TV Ontario.
  • Interests and queries are for sports features (golf, skiing, hockey, biking), travel, (Europe, South America, Southeast Asia)
  • volunteer writer for Saanich Peninsula Hospital newlestter, The Link
  • I also have two personal projects, an educational memoir and a historical novel.
